For the World

On 1st May 2002, Michael Jackson fans across the globe collaborated to get together 1 million children

to sing songs promoting peace. The main event in India was organised in Pune for a 3000+ strong audience. FOR THE WORLD was performed with a choir of 700 children and 30 musicians that included 20 violinists along with many other lead chorus singers and choreographers.

The conceptualization of this song and its huge launch wouldn’t have been possible without an inspiration from TheBlueGoddess and the support of my family, Michael Jackson, Frank Dileo, Michael Jackson Management, Wilhelmina Pitrof, Tammy Mills, Deepika Parab, Rajan Shah, Rupali Bhandari, Nishigandha Gangavane, Yatish Bhandari, Aniket Satav, Amit Karale, Anjali Wadhwani, Monica Wadhwani, Bahar Gaokar, Yogesh Wagh, Pt. Atulkumar Upadhye, Subhash Shetye, Akshay Shah, Dhanaji Bhujbal, Shrikant Rangnekar, Rajan Sanghani, Ravi Chopra, Rajeev Vilekar, Sudhir Agashe, Licel, Rahul Chandawarkar, CNN, BBC, Fox News, Reuters, The Times of India, The Indian Express, The Maharashtra Times and all the volunteers.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you and appreciate all you have done.

I would also like to thank the 1000+ participants from from the Airforce School (Pune), Kendriya Vidyalaya (Vimannagar), Vidya Niketan (Bibewadi), The Violin Academy, Fulora (Sahakarnagar), all the dancers and lead chorus singers that joined us through their teachers.

For the World - Lyrics

Singer/Songwriter/Composer - Nikhil Gangavane

Featuring - Aum Gangavane

Recording Engineer - Ishaan Devasthali

We’ve been always ignoring

The wars and our violent ways

The rising smoke darkened our brightest days

The children who have been missing

Are crying being lost and alone

No one to love them now, they have not a home

Flowing to the seas are rivers of tears

Can’t we just wipe them off with our love and care

Its still not so late to get back what we have lost

Set free the love so pure that’s deep in our hearts

Let’s throw all this hatred far away from our souls

As we’re singing…

A prayer to bring peace for the world

Forever we will stay in peace

Together caring for the world

The nature lost all its wonders

When trees fell down in the dust

Why do we keep wounding our mother earth

The grounds shaken by the thunders

The creatures dying away

And still, we fail to feel all their pain

Fading in the past is a lost paradise

To bring back the grace of our world we all must strive

Its still not so late to get back what we have lost

Set free the love so pure that’s deep in our hearts

Lets throw all this hatred far away from our souls

As we’re singing…

A prayer to bring peace for the world

Forever we will stay

In peace together caring for the world

Higher in the skies

Closer to the light

Our love will take us there

If we all try

Together we all can make this

A place where no one would cry

Making our dreams come true… Reach out for the sky

Wash away your fears

Bring your hopes back to life

Holding our hands we can fill our heart with joy

Its still not so late to get back what we have lost

Set free the love so pure that’s deep in our hearts

Lets throw all this hatred far away from our souls

As we’re singing…

A prayer to bring peace for the world

Forever we will stay

In peace together caring for the world

Forever we will stay

In peace together caring for the world

Forever we will stay

In peace together caring for the world
